Description
A Premium Dive Computer You Can Wear Every Day
The Garmin Descent Mk3i brings serious dive-computer capability into a premium multisport smartwatch designed to go from the dive boat to everyday life without changing devices.
Built for recreational, technical, freediving, and CCR divers, the Mk3i combines a bright AMOLED touchscreen with traditional dive buttons, a rugged titanium-accented case, sapphire crystal lens, advanced decompression features, optional air integration, underwater communication capabilities, GPS navigation, health monitoring, training tools, and smartwatch functionality.
Whether you are making a recreational nitrox dive, running multiple gases during decompression, diving trimix, using a closed-circuit rebreather, or simply tracking your next workout, the Descent Mk3i is designed to handle it.
Air Integration with Descent T2
Pair the Descent Mk3i with compatible Garmin Descent T2 transceivers to monitor cylinder pressure directly from your wrist.
Garmin’s SubWave sonar network allows the Mk3i to monitor tank pressure information and other data from compatible T2-equipped divers.
Depending on configuration, the Mk3i can monitor multiple cylinders or members of a dive team, making it useful for:
- Recreational air integration
- Doubles
- Stage and decompression cylinders
- Technical diving
- Dive team monitoring
Descent T2 transceivers are sold separately.
SubWave Underwater Communication
When paired with compatible Descent T2 transceivers, the Mk3i supports Garmin’s SubWave technology for enhanced underwater connectivity.
Compatible divers can use features such as:
- Diver-to-diver preset messaging
- Dive group tracking
- Tank pressure monitoring
- Depth monitoring
- Diver Assistance features
These tools add another layer of situational awareness while still complementing — not replacing — traditional dive communication and safety procedures.
Built for Recreational and Technical Diving
The Descent Mk3i supports a wide range of dive configurations, including:
- Single-gas diving
- Multi-gas diving
- Air
- Nitrox
- Trimix
- Gauge mode
- Closed-circuit rebreather diving
- Apnea
- Apnea hunt
Customizable data screens allow divers to configure the information they want to see underwater.
A large-font option can also simplify the dive display for quick viewing.
200-Meter Dive Rating
The Mk3i is built around a 200-meter dive-rated case with leakproof inductive buttons designed to remain fully operational at depth.
A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens protects the AMOLED display from the punishment associated with regular dive use.
Bright AMOLED Touchscreen
The high-resolution AMOLED display provides excellent visibility both above and below the surface.
Touchscreen operation makes navigating everyday smartwatch features intuitive, while physical buttons remain available for reliable operation during dives.
43mm Display
- 1.2-inch AMOLED display
- 390 x 390 pixel resolution
51mm Display
- 1.4-inch AMOLED display
- 454 x 454 pixel resolution
Built-In LED Flashlight — 51mm Model
The 51mm Descent Mk3i includes an integrated LED flashlight for additional visibility above or below the water.
Multiple brightness levels and strobe functions make it useful for:
- Equipment checks
- Low-light environments
- Surface signaling
- Dive boat use
- Backup illumination
- Everyday use
The LED flashlight is available on the 51mm Mk3i only.
DiveView Maps and GPS
Garmin’s built-in mapping and GPS functionality help you navigate both before and after the dive.
DiveView mapping provides access to thousands of dive locations, while multi-band GPS can record precise surface entry and exit locations.
The Descent Mk3i also includes Garmin’s broader mapping and navigation ecosystem for hiking, boating, travel, and outdoor activities.
Dive Readiness
Garmin’s Dive Readiness feature uses lifestyle and recovery information to provide additional context before a dive.
Factors such as:
- Sleep
- Stress
- Exercise
- Recovery
- Travel
- Overall training load
can contribute to a readiness score.
This information is intended as an additional planning tool rather than a replacement for personal judgment, proper training, or established dive-safety practices.
More Than a Dive Computer
Above the water, the Descent Mk3i becomes a full-featured Garmin multisport smartwatch.
Features include:
- Multi-band GPS
- Heart-rate monitoring
- Pulse Ox
- Sleep tracking
- Training readiness
- Training status
- Sports and activity profiles
- Music storage
- Garmin Pay
- Smartphone notifications
- Built-in mapping
- Health and wellness tracking
- 32 GB internal memory
For divers who also run, hike, cycle, train, travel, or simply want a premium everyday smartwatch, the Mk3i eliminates the need to maintain separate devices.
