You will learn all you need to dive above and around wrecks and artificial reefs, plus earn your SSI Wreck Diving specialty certification.

Many of the ocean’s best dive sites are wrecks. These impressive structures attract unusually high densities of marine life and give you the chance to immerse in living history as you dive.
There is nothing quite like wreck diving and the SSI Wreck Diving specialty will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to become a safe and confident wreck diver. With a combination of academic and confined water sessions, you will be taught how to safely conduct non-penetration dives around wrecks and artificial reefs, up to a depth of 100 feet.
You will also get to practice your wreck diving skills during open water training dives. All of which will ensure you can enjoy wreck diving with confidence and get the most out of every dive. Required equipment: Basic SCUBA equipment, Wreck reel (Minimum 150’), Slate or wet notes, compass, light, SMB with spool (Minimum 100’).

Included: Online Wreck Diver course, classroom and in-water instruction, certification fees & certification card

Not included: Rental equipment, air or NITROX fills, entrance or charter fees

This class will require the following training components:

1 Online course

1 Classroom session

1 Open Water workup dive (usually done at Lake Phoenix)

2 Actual wreck dives (not Lake Phoenix)

Students who complete open water wreck dives 3 & 4 can earn their Advanced Wreck Diver Certification. (Please choose the Advanced Wreck Diver option)

Wrecks dives can be scheduled in conjunction with most of our trips where we are diving wrecks such as Virginia Beach, North Carolina, Canada and Florida as well as our Caribbean trips.

Important Registration Information:

• If you are not already registered with SSI please go to https://my.divessi.com/register and create a FREE mySSI account.  Once registered, we will be able to assign the online training course to your account.
• Students have one year from the date of registration to complete their course. In-water training for all programs must be completed within six (6) months of the last academic or in-water training session.
• Students enrolled in classes involving in-water training are required to complete a medical questionnaire and may be required to obtain a physician’s authorization prior to any in-water training.  A copy of the form can be found under the Forms & Waivers section of our website or by visiting https://tricityscuba.com/forms-and-waivers
• Classes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
