SSI Open Water SCUBA Diver Certification — $995

Take your first step into the underwater world with Tri-City SCUBA! Our SSI Open Water Diver course combines flexible online learning, personalized instruction, pool training, and real-world diving experience.

Your Course Includes:

• SSI digital learning materials and certification
• Classroom and confined water (pool) training
• Open water checkout dives over two days
• Two days of Lake Phoenix admission
• Use of required rental scuba equipment during training
• Training air fills and digital dive logbook

Course Details:

• Tuition: $995 per student (group classes)
• Schedule: Choose an available 3-day or 4-day class schedule
• Training Locations: Tri-City SCUBA training facilities and Lake Phoenix
• Personal Equipment Required: Mask, snorkel, fins, dive boots, and DSMB (surface marker buoy)
• Additional Fees: Personal equipment purchases, optional certifications, private instruction, and additional training days when applicable

Important: All required paperwork, eLearning, and equipment preparation must be completed by the Friday two weeks before your classroom/confined water training begins.

***Referral Diver special for November 7 & 8, 2026 and December 19 & 20 2026 only dates available for special and spaces are limited: Regular price $695 special $450 classes with owner, Mitch Heller.  Complete your e-learning, classroom, and confined water training and become a referral diver.  This will allow you to dive during our pool sessions with another certified or referral diver all winter, or complete your open water dives in a warm destination, continue diving in the pool to gain skills and confidence and sign up for our Open Water dives when it is warmer or go on one of our trips.***

Course tuition is nonrefundable. Students have one year from purchase to complete their certification.
