Diving does not end when the sun goes down! Become a night diver and meet the incredible marine life that only comes out at night.
Join the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty program and you will learn all you need to dive safely at night or in limited visibility. Upon completion, you will earn your SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty certification.
Night diving requires different skills from diving during the day. The SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty is the best way to learn about night diving and practice the techniques you will need to become a safe and confident night diver.
In this program, you will be provided with all the knowledge and skills you need to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. With a combination of online learning and open water training dives, you will learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialized equipment, and how to communicate with your buddy easily at night or in limited visibility.
Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty certification and be ready to go night diving with confidence.
Included: SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty online course, classroom and in-water instruction, certification fees & E certification card
Not included: Rental equipment, air or NITROX fills, entrance or charter fees
Required Equipment: Basic SCUBA equipment, Primary light with a minimum of 800 lumens, 1 backup light, compass, reel, smb, and a line cutter
This class will require the following training components:
1 Online course
1 Classroom session
2 Open water dives
Important Registration Information:
· If you are not already registered with SSI please go to https://my.divessi.com/register and create a FREE mySSI account. Once registered, we will be able to assign the online training course to your account.
· Students have one year from the date of registration to complete their course. In-water training for all programs must be completed within six (6) months of the last academic or in-water training session.
· Students enrolled in classes involving in-water training are required to complete a medical questionnaire and may be required to obtain a physician’s authorization prior to any in-water training. · Classes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
