Description
Learn how to safely explore some of the most unique and enchanting dive site this world has to offer. The cavern specialty course will teach to how to safely explore overhead environments with in the limits of the cavern zone. You will learn special buoyancy and propulsion techniques as well how to you specialized equipment to safely dive in overhead environments. The course involves one classroom session and four training dives. The training dives are usually done during one of our Florida springs trips. The cost of the trip is NOT included in the cost of this course. Students must provide all necessary equipment including two underwater lights, primary reel, safety reel or spool and line markers. Students must also have at least 24 open water dives prior to training in an overhead environment.
Important Registration Information:
· If you are not already registered with SSI please go to https://my.divessi.com/register and create a FREE mySSI account. Once registered, we will be able to assign the online training course to your account.
· Students have one year from the date of registration to complete their course. In-water training for all programs must be completed within six (6) months of the last academic or in-water training session.
· Students enrolled in classes involving in-water training are required to complete a medical questionnaire and may be required to obtain a physician’s authorization prior to any in-water training. · Classes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
