The Garmin inReach Mini 3 Plus expands Garmin’s compact satellite communicator platform with richer messaging capabilities for remote travel and adventure.
In addition to traditional two-way text messaging, the Mini 3 Plus allows users to exchange voice messages directly from the device and share photos outside cellular coverage using the Garmin Messenger app on a compatible smartphone.
That makes it ideal for divers, travelers, hikers, boaters, and expedition teams who want more than basic text communication when operating far from cell service.
Voice Messaging
The Mini 3 Plus includes a built-in speaker and microphone, allowing users to exchange voice messages of up to approximately 30 seconds.
Voice messages can be recorded and sent directly from the device to compatible Garmin Messenger users.
The Mini 3 Plus can also provide voice message transcription, allowing incoming messages to be read on-screen when listening isn’t practical.
Photo Sharing
When paired with the Garmin Messenger app, the Mini 3 Plus can send photos over the satellite network while outside cellular coverage.
Incoming photos can also be viewed on the Mini 3 Plus color display.
Photo sharing requires a compatible smartphone and active satellite subscription.
