Single Bladder – 40 lb Lift

The standard Katana 2 uses a single low-profile bladder providing approximately 40 pounds of lift.

This configuration is ideal for divers who want a lightweight and streamlined sidemount system without unnecessary bulk.

For divers using a drysuit, the drysuit may also provide an independent source of buoyancy appropriate to their training and dive plan.

The single-bladder Katana 2 is an excellent choice for:

Dual Bladder – 40 lb Lift Per Bladder

Upgrade to the dual-bladder Katana 2 for two independent buoyancy cells, each providing approximately 40 pounds of lift.

The dual-bladder system provides redundant buoyancy without requiring the diver to rely on a drysuit as a backup buoyancy source.

This makes it particularly useful for technical sidemount divers using wetsuits or other exposure protection that does not provide independently controllable buoyancy.

The dual-bladder configuration includes separate inflation systems for the independent buoyancy cells.

Quick Fit System – One Size Fits All

Forget traditional BCD sizing.

The Hollis Katana 2 features the Quick Fit System (QFS), allowing the harness to be adjusted across the torso, lumbar area, waist, shoulders, and crotch strap to accommodate a wide range of diver body types.

Y-Style Configuration

A minimalist harness arrangement favored by divers who want maximum simplicity and freedom of movement.

H-Style Configuration

Allows the addition of a chest strap for increased upper-body stability.

Streamlined 40 lb Wing

The Katana 2 wing is designed to remain tight against the diver’s body rather than creating unnecessary bulk behind the diver.

Its low-profile design helps reduce drag while supporting the horizontal trim sidemount divers want.

The system includes strategically positioned dump valves that allow the diver to vent expanding gas while maintaining proper trim.

Integrated Central Weight System

Proper ballast placement is critical to good sidemount trim.

The Katana 2 incorporates a central weight pocket positioned along the spine that can hold up to approximately 20 pounds of hard or soft weight.

Placing ballast directly along the diver’s centerline helps maintain balance while reducing the need for weights positioned elsewhere on the harness.

Designed for Proper Cylinder Positioning

A 7 mm bungee system holds the cylinders securely against the diver’s sides for a clean, streamlined profile.
